Bioinicia and CSIC took part in the 3rd International Conference on Electrospinning. The city that welcomed professionals in the academic field and industry of this field was San Francisco, USA. The event constitutes a platform for engineers and researchers from all around the globe to put their knowledge in common and exchange information about the field of electrospinning, nanomaterials and their applications. Representing both Bioinicia and CSIC, Prof. José María Lagarón was included in the program as one of the main speakers together with other members of Bioinicia and CSIC. In his speech, Prof....

As an awarded company on the 24th Demo Day, Bioinicia presented itself as a spin-off of the CSIC working on the development and production of both of equipment and new materials together with the provision of consulting services to universities, Research Centres and to the industry. Its products have got applications in many diverse areas such as filtration, plastic fibers, textiles, purification, packaging, nutrition, controlled release, implants… The processing technology used is eStretching, which is based on electrohydrodynamics (EHDA). The European Business and Innovation Centre in Valencia (CEEI Valencia) has held their 24th Presentation of Companies, Demo Day, in which nine recently created Valencian companies were presented. They stood out due to its clear differentiation component based on innovation and technology. The purpose of this event is to recognise, bolster and promote nine companies supported by CEEI since their creation until their market consolidation. These nine companies belong to sectors of the economy which are aiming high, such as Information Technology, Biotechnology, Renewable Energies and Water treatment, Biomaterials, R&D consulting, etc. Bioinicia...

José María Lagarón is a clear example of a researcher-entrepeneur. He combines New Materials and Nanotechnology team management at the Agrochemistry and Food Tecnologies (IATA-CSIC) with the creation of technology-based companies. The first company he started up was Nanobiomatters, whose nanoclays prevent food packaging from oxidation and microbial contamination. His second company has just been formalised. Bioinicia was born in Valencia with a promise to revolutionize the world of materials thank to electro-hydrodynamics technology. Lagarón has embarked himself on his second business project with BioInicia, a ‘spin-off’ of the CSIC, it...

Mr. Hipolito Montejano, CEO at Bioinicia, has recently been interviewed by Levante Newspaper about the revolutionary technology employed by Bioinicia’s engineering designs and the multiple applications of it. His interview has been published under the title ”<<Micromaterials>> for great projects” and it has been included at the R&D section for businesses and companies. Bioinicia’s products and services offer great opportunities in very diverse areas of application such as pharma, textile and biomedical field. As mentioned in the article, thanks to electrohydrodynamics technology, it is possible for Bioinicia to improve the porosity...
